St. Louis Motherhood and family photographer

Welcome, I'm Rachel

My approach to photography is shaped by my neurodivergent mind – living with ADHD and learning disabilities has taught me to see the world through a unique lens.

This allows me to forget special connections, especially with children and fellow neurodivergents.

IN A WORLD THAT CELEBRATES CONFORMITY, MY ART CHAMPIONS THE BEAUTY OF BEING DIFFERENT. BEHIND MY LENS, EVERY INDIVIDUAL'S STORY MATTERS, EVERY QUIRK IS CELEBRATED, AND EVERY MOMENT IS HONORED.

I'm just like you, trying to juggle all the balls and figure out which ones are glass and which ones can bounce.

The Story Behind Sunday Lane

The Story Behind Sunday Lane

Sundays have always been sacred in our family. My husband works Saturdays, making Sundays our cherished days of connection and memory-making.

This special meaning inspired the name Sunday Lane – representing those unhurried moments where life's most beautiful stories unfold. A quiet lane, towering trees, and dappled sunlight through the trees while our family takes a Sunday drive.

Qualifications

Mother walking with two girls in summer dresses outdoors.

Certified early childhood teacher

Preschool Teacher

For more than 15 years, I've had the joy of walking alongside small humans in their early learning journey. My heart found its home in the world of little ones—from teaching kindergarten and preschool to supporting parents through Parents as Teachers. While I miss the formal classroom setting, I'm thrilled to now connect with families and small humans through my camera!

- Seamless booking

- prompt payment confirmations

- Crystal-clear guidance every step of the way

No wondering what's next or where to be—I've got it all mapped out for you, leaving you free to focus on what matters most: creating beautiful memories!

Quality over quantity

A cornerstone of my photography

Quality over quantity isn't just a phrase-it's something I have always practiced. It's the cornerstone of my photography. By intentionally limiting the number of clients I serve, I create space to give each of you my complete attention and care. While I can chat about anything under the sun (and I do!), what truly lights me up is diving deeper, understanding your unique story, and creating genuine connections.

A little more about Rachel

All the fun facts

Elegant table with blue hydrangeas, ballerina figurine, framed photo, and pastel ribbons on display.

I love thrifting and antiques, finding beauty in pieces that carry history in their patina.

Two young women smile at an outdoor festival, one wearing a pink hat and heart sunglasses.

Concerts with my teen are some of my favorite core memories. I can proudly say I survived the heat and a teen mosh pit at Austin City Limits!

A smiling woman with glasses and a young girl enjoy colorful ice cream cups together.

My world revolves around my family: my husband, Lou, who always keeps me laughing and our two amazing daughters (one teen, one elementary-aged). Completing our crew are our pets-Kiki the cat and Apollo, our goofy Labrador.

Family of four posing outdoors near hydrangea bushes with misty water background.

Ice Cream outings with my kids are a frequent tradition! I'll always say yes to ice cream!

More fun in numbers!

My joyful circus features two daughters-a teen and an 8-year-old-who keep life fun with mall adventures and dolls. A patient spouse, dog and cat make me the smiling ringmaster of this beautiful chaos.

local high schools

I am a transplant to the area!

And yes, STL friends, before you ask-I didn't go to any of the local high schools. I grew up in Iowa and went to high school in southern IL!

(give or take)

While Swiss cheese isn't my thing, I'll always say yes to a New York slice. And to my STL friends-after 20 years, I'm still working on acquiring a taste for that provel...
